My Story

My name is Omayma Azzaimoun, the artist behind Molati Art. I am 23 years old and based in the Netherlands. Art is how I express what I often find difficult to put into words. It gives shape to my emotions and helps me make sense of my experiences, from trauma to the beautiful moments I want to hold on to.

My Moroccan roots are also part of the story I want to share through my work. Through handmade drawings of places and buildings, I explore a connection to my origins and the places that carry meaning for me.

My work is diverse because my life and feelings are too. From architectural drawings to scalpel paintings and sculptural work with clay, each technique offers a different way to express what I am feeling, remembering or trying to understand.

As I find my way in life, I also find my way through art. Exploring different materials and techniques is part of discovering who I am. Every piece carries something of my story, while leaving room for you to find something of your own.
